What Our Customers Say
Myself and my very good friend/ex job share both managed to rupture our Achilles on our big come back to netball after 10years out of the game! It was during our first match we both injured ourselves within about 6 mins of each other. We are both physiotherapists so we were both keen to keep active during our recovery process! In this photo we had just met for lunch at our local shopping centre.

Christian
ChorleyI have never been so pleased to have had this StrideOn machine for 6 weeks since the operation on my ankle. It has meant that I have been able to glide over to our shop at Milkhope every day instead of using crutches!! So many people have commented how good it is, and I am so grateful to have been able to rent it from you.

Flackwell HeathThis is yet another example of how the marvellous Stride On 5 wheel scooter has kept me, and therefore my family!, sane through a 12 week period following extensive Achilles tendon surgery. The photo is taken at dusk in front of the temporary Christmas ice rink at Battersea called Glide. Whilst everyone else could "glide" on their ice skates, I had the wonderful feeling of freedom and independence able to "glide" safely around the flat pathways outside the rink and not miss out on the festive spirit. I even added mini bicycle lights so that people could see me coming! Thank you Stride -On for making the past 3 months almost fun as I navigate life with the aid of your amazingly manoeuvrable scooter; I quite simply could not have managed all of this without you. A complete game-changer from the despair and panic I felt when first told I needed to be fully non weight-bearing for so long.
Katy
LondonI'm afraid my photo doesn't have the most exciting location or background but for me it shows the independence afforded to me by my StrideOn Knee Scooter. Also, as I live alone and don't have anyone to take my photos, this was the only location where I could get a full length shot. And, it was the only place downstairs where I could put my camera on the side, set the 10 second timer and then quickly scoot into position for the photo. It took quite a few attempts!

TonbridgeBefore my accident, I was in the middle of a mental health nursing degree and was very active in my spare time. I really love hiking and had recently started learning to skydive and climb. Unfortunately, in October, I had a skydiving accident and badly fractured my ankle and tibia. I was in the hospital for two weeks and had two surgeries including one to fit an external fixator on my lower leg. After spending a tough two weeks in the hospital, I was desperate to go outside and be in nature again. It was recommended that I get a wheelchair as I found using crutches very difficult because I was very unsteady and afraid that I would fall onto my frame and injure myself further. At home, I was having to use a walking frame to get around which was exhausting, and, because I had to use both of my hands to hold the frame, I was unable to get myself a drink or carry anything for myself which meant that I was almost entirely reliant on my partner. I didn't like using a wheelchair as my partner had to push me everywhere and it reminded me that I had lost my independence. My partner also found it difficult to push me and I felt quite guilty. I started searching online for alternatives to crutches and wheelchairs in the hope that there was another option that hadn't been discussed with me at the hospital. When I found out about knee scooters, I was suddenly full of hope as I knew that a mobility aid existed that would allow me to regain my independence.

LondonI ruptured my Achilles tendon just before I was about to appear in the annual panto with my local village drama group as the Dame! It was too late to replace me, so I went on stage with my knee walker. It made a big impact. The attached photo was taken on 25 February 2023 on stage at the Memorial Hall, Aston-on-Trent, Derby. I customised the walker with blue fairy lights, a horn, and a bicycle bell. In this scene, I was on Treasure Island wearing my boat dress and island hat!!

IpswichMy StrideOn came with me to my first hospital appointment yesterday after breaking my ankle. Everyone was looking and asking me questions about it, as it was a lot easier and safer to use than crutches.

ToddingtonI decided to decorate my knee walker for my step-daughter's wedding on 10th June near Woburn. It received many 'beautiful' comments on the day. Apart from looking pretty, the walker made getting around on the Big Day so much easier for me. Apart from joining in the dancing, I was able to get around the venue easily and enjoy the celebrations.

SheffieldThis is me in my kitchen, loving the fact that I could actually move about again on my Stride On Scooter for the first time, after arriving home from hospital after major ankle surgery. I had been in hospital for a week after breaking my ankle in three places (Trimalleolar fracture). After hearing that I had to be non-weight bearing for the next six weeks in plaster, I wasn't sure how I would possibly cope with everyday tasks such as making a drink or getting to the bathroom as I wasn't strong enough to use crutches at this point. My lovely sister Sarah did some research and found this amazing company hiring out knee scooters. She hired one out for me and it was delivered the very next day. I called it 'Buddy' as it really has been my best friend over the past 6 weeks. It has truly been a lifeline to me and has been with me to the shop, my friend's garden, the hospital, my dad's house, and I've even taken it to the park to get some exercise.

NuneatonBack from hospital having had a rather complicated operation on my foot. My Stride On had just been delivered, and here I am giving it a test run (I wish).

Bexhill-On-SeaSaturday 23rd September at a sunny Portman Road in Ipswich, the home of Ipswich Town Football Club! My first match using my Orthomate to get me down to the ground! And Ipswich won 4-3! Having fractured my fifth metatarsal just under 2 weeks ago and currently only being able to heel walk the Orthomate is an absolute godsend!

IpswichLiving by the sea we've always enjoyed days out at the beach. Thanks to the stride on knee scooter I've been able to go along the prom and make use of the disabled beach access. This was a fantastic boost for my mental health and great to spend time with family on a lovely sunny September day.

BexhillA sunny day at the start of October. It was great to get out to the local park with my son. Even better to get pushed on the roundabout. Didn't think I'd be doing that with a slipped disc and severe foot pain.

Whitley BayI have been non weight bearing now for 5 weeks and have 3 more weeks to go. My Trusty scooter has been invaluable and has allowed me to do things like cooking and housework with two free hands. This would not have been possible using crutches. Being able to go out and travel distances way beyond what crutches would allow has been very good for my mental wellbeing. I am fitter too! It has

HorleyAfter breaking my foot and needing surgery I was disappointed that I'd not be able to go to Radio 1 Big Weekend in Luton, and that my children were very much looking forward to attending. This picture was taken on the Friday night, right down by the main stage, made accessible by the knee scooter.

SwindonHere are 4 photos of Seb using the knee walker we hired from you after he sustained a nasty ankle fracture. The photos were all taken out and about in Dorset: Pic 1 - Abbotsbury Gardens Pic 2 - Rodwell trail, Weymouth Pic 3 - West Bay beach disabled access area Pic 4 - Abbotsbury beach As a very active 12 year old boy, not being able to get outside and move after breaking his ankle was driving Seb crazy. The knee walker was fantastic! He was soon zooming along, back out in the fresh air, able to exercise and enjoy family walks.

WeymouthMy daughter took this. I was on my way into the kitchen to put the kettle on. I have a boot now - the last cast was taken off on Monday. I can’t weight bear for a week but can begin after that. So my StrideOn is still very much needed.

EastbourneI bought my orthomate a while ago and I am now 5 weeks postop following ankle reconstruction surgury. My original procedure date in summer was postponed. We are now in rainy season and it hadn't occurred to me if the scooter is OK in the rain?? I can confirm it is definitely waterproof, unlike my coat!! We left my 6 week check up at RNOH and went to a viewing point in Stanmore Park. Got very wet and scootered up down the gravel back to car. Nice to get out though ! See attached pictures. My consultant at RNOH wasn't happy with me using my scooter initially. But, clearly since I last saw him he has been doing some research and knew all about rental costs etc!

CamberwellThe scooter was a great help recovering from a dislocated ankle, much better than crutches in the kitchen as I was able to use the fitted basket and also to carry some objects in one hand. It was also useful around the neighbourhood. The delivery and communication were first class. All in all, recommended!
Charlie Holland
TrustpilotI hired a knee scooter initially for a month following surgery. Delivery was efficient and assembly was easy. The scooter has been an amazing recovery aid, so much so that I extended it another week. The team at Strideon are so lovely and helpful. I would highly recommend this company, in fact in a way I'm sad we are parting ways, but I'm well enough to walk with the boot now. Thank you Strideon.

TrustpilotI managed to badly break my left foot in mid-October and ended up having to keep it off the ground for eight weeks. I found crutches impossible - I couldn't easily make a drink, cook my dinner or wash. Thankfully a friend picked up a StrideOn leaflet for me at the fracture clinic, and I hired the knee walker. It was an absolute godsend! It allowed me to be more mobile, to make a drink, to cook - and to wash. I had the knee walker for almost four months, while I (literally) got back on two feet! Helen at StrideOn was brilliant - always so friendly and helpful and quick-off-the-mark. I can't rave about StrideOn or the knee walker (which I called Murgatroyd!) enough. I am sure it helped aid my recovery. It was so easy to use and meant the slightest movement wasn't exhausting (as it was when I was using crutches). Without the knee walker I just wouldn't have managed the basics of my everyday life. Thank you to all at StrideOn!

TrustpilotFirstly, all communication and correspondence was delivered promptly and friendly. The information was clear to understand. I had a foot fusion operation and unable to weightbear for 6/7 weeks. Using crutches for this length of time was exhausting and I felt unstable, despite being quite strong. Physio recommended a knee scooter. StrideOn delivered the rental scooter without any issues and it was very clear how to set it up. I bought a cushion cover as extra. It's very easy to use and meant I could move about fairly independently. It has been incredible, as otherwise I probably would have struggled to get about, using crutches alone. I would highly recommend using this company.
Catherine
TrustpilotThis was an absolute Godsend. If you have had ankle or foot surgery, or are about to, get your order in. Just that little bit of freedom to scoot to the loo instead of navigating awkward crutches, made such a difference. The service was excellent, and it's so easy to extend your hire. And if you no longer need your scooter before your rental end date, they will pick up and refund. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you StrideOn.

TrustpilotAfter surgery on my left ankle, I need to be non-weight bearing on that side for 6 weeks. I rented a knee scooter from Strideon and it has been such a superb game-changer. Compared to crutches, I am much faster to move around and it feels extremely stable. I enjoyed a trip to Costa this week (1/2 mile away), and got there by scooting alongside my two grandchildren! As well as being much less tiring than moving with crutches, it allows the carriage of items, including food and drink, which would otherwise be impossible. Furthermore, beyond easing movement around the house, local pavements and shopping centres, it also provides a secure platform for static standing tasks such as washing up, personal care at a sink, etc. When it arrived, it was easy to assemble and was so clean and well-presented that it looked as though it was brand new, despite being pre-used. Overall, I recommend these devices to anyone on crutches with injuries below the knee – it has been simply brilliant.

TrustpilotA lifesaver! Thank you so much to whoever invented the Strideon! I had an ankle operation and had to be non-weightbearing for 2 weeks. I don't think I would have been able to feed myself without the Strideon - trying to balance on one leg with 2 crutches and try and eat something is nigh-on impossible. The Strideon enabled me to whizz around downstairs and get around so much more easily than on crutches. If anyone was thinking about booking one - please do! The ordering process was so easy and delivery excellent. I extended my order for a couple of weeks but didn't really need to, so I arranged a return the following day. It was very easy to put together and re-pack. Sad in someways to see it go but now getting around on one crutch so all good. Thank you again for such a brilliant product and service!

TrustpilotI had foot surgery with no weight bearing for 6 weeks. I found crutches awkward, dangerous and limiting. I googled knee trolleys and found Stride On - I hired it and the very next day one was delivered to my door. My family put it together easily and it came with clear instructions. I’m not exaggerating when I say this but of kit changed my life! I gained most of my independence back and was able to get about easily, safely and prepare food at a work top etc. The Stride On is sturdy and made me feel very safe. It can be adjusted so your body isn’t lopsided sided and is comfortable although I would suggest you order the extra knee pad. It has a basket which is so handy going about every day life. I extended it by a further week and spoke to a lovely man who made the whole process so easy. What a great service! I can not thank this Company enough for making what has been quite a traumatic recovery, so much easier and safer!! I would highly recommend this to anyone going through the same type of surgery.
Asha Tuck
TrustpilotThis company is how all companies should operate. I ordered my knee scooter which arrived the next day. All tracking and hire info accurate as described. I had foot surgery and I honestly feel without this I would have had a miserable 6 weeks as my balance is awful. The scooter gave me almost full independence, the little basket was so useful. I felt safe and secure at all times. Have just booked collection and they were an absolute pleasure to do business with.

TrustpilotI would suggest anyone used this company. So helpful. Very stable.

TrustpilotIf I could rate 10 stars I would. The customer service was 100% and just so friendly and accommodating. The product itself is a COMPLETE game changer for anyone who wants to keep mobile during a foot or ankle injury. I was able to carry on running a busy household and do some work while using the Knee bike.
Mrs Emma Lane
TrustpilotMy experience with StrideOn knee walker hiring has been absolutely great from the very first moment to the last one - the ordering process, putting it together & using it, getting it ready for the transport back and having it picked by the delivery company. The knee walker was a life saver for me during my 6-week plaster wearing period. The instructions for packing were idiot-proof, with lots of pictures - everything was highly professional, user friendly and kind. Highly recommended!

TrustpilotHaving sustained a triple ankle fracture I was desperate to find something that could help me get around . I was non weight bearing for 6 weeks and partial for a further 6 weeks. I found Stride On and ordered a scooter which came quickly. I can honestly say this saved my sanity. I could not master crutches and needed something to help me get around my home, and later out and about. The scooter was especially useful at night - I could just hop on to get to the bathroom without all the fussing around with the ortho boot in the later stages of recovery. The whole process of hiring/renewing hire was simple. I ended up having the scooter for much longer than anticipated but I didn’t mind - it was so useful. Thank you to all the team at Stride On. I would highly recommend this company.
