Recovering from a lower leg injury can be a challenging time, but with the right mobility aid, your journey can become a lot easier. At StrideOn, we aim to provide you with solutions tailored to your needs, no matter what stage of recovery you’re in. Here’s how our knee walker hire service can adapt and grow with you.
Model Swap for Evolving Recovery Needs
Recovery is a process, and your mobility needs may change as you progress. That’s why we offer the option to swap models during your hire period. You can start with the StrideOn Model, which is perfect for manoeuvring indoors with its exceptional turning radius and stability. As you transition to partial weight-bearing and start spending more time outside, you might want to switch to the Orthomate Model, which is specially designed for outdoor use with wide pneumatic tyres for better traction on uneven terrain.
The great news? Your hire contract remains the same—no extra rental charges for changing models! The only additional cost is for courier delivery and collection. This flexibility ensures that your knee walker meets your recovery needs every step of the way.
Upstairs-Downstairs Convenience
Do you have a multi-storey home? Many customers choose to hire a pair of knee walkers—one for upstairs and one for downstairs. This eliminates the hassle of carrying the scooter up and down the stairs, saving you time and effort while reducing the risk of injury.
For example, you can use the StrideOn Model upstairs for navigating smaller spaces like bedrooms and bathrooms, and either model for downstairs, depending on your needs. This arrangement makes day-to-day tasks much more manageable during your recovery.
Indoors-Outdoors Flexibility
For those who need to spend more time outdoors, such as taking daily walks in the park, walking the dog, or doing the school run, the indoors-outdoors mix is an excellent option. Hire both the StrideOn Model for indoor use and the Orthomate Model for outdoor activities.
By having one scooter dedicated to outdoor use, you can avoid the inconvenience of having to clean the wheels every time you bring it back indoors. It’s a practical and hygienic solution for those with an active recovery routine.
